So last night after riding, I stopped off at a friends house and noticed I had a short in the wiring. Had melted some wires and burnt out my ON switch on the throttle controls. The previous owner had wrapped the fuses with foil to bridge the connections. Was my dumb mistake for not checking. But I have been toying with the idea of doing a full restoration and conversion of her to a cafe racer style bike.....well this made the choice simple.
Since I would have to do a whole new wiring harness/wire replacement I might as well start my restoration now. So keep an eye on the blog if you would like to watch my progress as I work on my 79 Goldwing.
